Question

Recommended Beginner's Reading

I've a fair handle on basic Brazilian Portuguese sentence structure; my native language is Spanish. What are some good books to build vocabulary as a beginner/intermediate speaker? It's a subjective question, of course. So tell me which ones you've enjoyed reading?

Can't speak for any books, though I am a huge fan of www.duolingo.com. It works like Rosetta Stone, but it's free and proven to be more effective. Also by using it you are helping translate the internet into Portugese. You start off with basic courses and work your way to more advanced material.
