Question

Recommended Beginner's Reading

I've a fair handle on basic Brazilian Portuguese sentence structure; my native language is Spanish. What are some good books to build vocabulary as a beginner/intermediate speaker? It's a subjective question, of course. So tell me which ones you've enjoyed reading?

I can agree to Patrick. The Portuguese (features both mixed Brazilian Portuguese and Portuguese) section in Duolingo is really well done, even though the beginning might be a bit too easy for you, considering it starts at the very basics.

To start getting used to read Portuguese, Portuguese subtitles in movies actually really helped as well.As for books, I could only suggest a childrens book that I found quite amusing, but an easy start. "Diário de um Banana". According to Google it can also be found in Brazilian Portuguese.
