Question

Japanese emails with business

Justin Dart Justin Dart (0) on 09/05/13

I'm in the middle of a project with a local community organization. How would I say "We'd like to see our our organizations can work together."?

I'd like to keep it as proper as possible.

>"We'd like to see our our organizations can work together."
I'm assuming one extra "our" is in the given sentence in English;
「貴組織との連携を構築し業務を進めていければ幸甚です」
「貴組織と連携できれば幸いです」

if you haven't worked together with the recipient, you can use this version:
「貴組織と連携できれば幸甚に存じます」
They sound formal and business-like.

If I misunderstood the situation, let me know. I used to be an executive secretary in a Japanese company, and writing formal business letters was one of my main job ;) (long time ago, though)

Thank you Misako. How do I pronounce these? "We'd like to see how our organizations can work together."

Sorry for my late reply, Justin. 「貴組織との連携を構築し業務を進めていければ幸甚です」 Ki Soshiki tono renkei o kouchiku shi gyoumu o susumete ikereba koujin desu Short version: 「貴組織と業務を進めていければ幸甚です」 Ki Soshiki to gyoumu o susumete ikereba koujin desu 幸甚です is very formal and only used it in business writing; you can also use 幸いです(saiwai desu) instead. 幸いです is still very formal, but it sounds a bit softer. Hope it helps ;)

Thank you for the romanization. It helps a lot. Hope to use it soon.
