How do you say, "no chance" in Japanese?

How would you say these sentences naturally in Japanese?

  1. There's no chance for us to win this game.
  2. He never really had a chance to get into that college, but he studied very hard.

訳 is also good in this kind of situation, but with a different meaning from "no chance".

勝つ訳ないじゃん! is like, "Oh right, AS IF they could ever win!"
